Malcesine, on the eastern shores of Lake Garda,
clustered around a tall Scaliger castle dating back to
1500 and the historical "Captains' Palace",
has preserved its old medieval origins intact, together
with the typical Mediterranean appearance of the
buildings overlooking the little port that fired
Goethe's imagination.
The climate, which is always mild
and healthy, is perfect all year round for magnificent
walks in the hills and up in the mountains, in the midst
of olive groves and luxurious Mediterranean vegetation.
